Trollbeads Armadillo Collection Preview

This Trollbeads blog brings a preview of the upcoming Trollbeads Armadillo Collection.

Today sees the release of the Trollbeads Beauty of Change Bracelet to celebrate the start of the spring season. Trollbeads have had such a busy start to the year however and they seem set to continue that as the next collection is unveiled today. The Trollbeads Armadillo Collection is scheduled to debut on Friday March the 25th and I think it's safe to assume this will be a very popular release.

Trollbeads Armadillos have been a collector favorite for decades and the more elaborate the design and colors, the more popular they tend to be. Over the years we've one shade Dillos, two shade Dillos, three shade Dillos, decorated beads and very limited edition examples and still they're so fiercly sought after.

The Trollbeads Armadillo Collection as the name suggests, is dedictaed to this much loved design. All of the beads in this release are limited editions and I suspect demand is going to be high. The collection features six glass beads, available either as a complete kit or individually. The complete kit is called the Trollbeads Armadillo Paradise Kit and will retail at $300 so it's worth noting that as is common with limited edition sets, there's no kit discount.

This puts the indivudal beads retailing at just $50 each which will be a welcome surprise to many. The single beads in this kit in order of their appearance below are as follows; the Trollbeads Sunshine Flower Armadillo, Trollbeads Ivory Flower Armadillo, Trollbeads Blue Sky Armadillo, Trollbeads Serenity Shades Armadillo, Trollbeads Pale Rose Armadillo and the Trollbeads Light Pastel Armadillo.

It's such a mix of colors and yet as a kit, it seems to work.

Finally completing the collection is the Trollbeads Armadillo which is set to retail at $61 so it should be a decent size.

A bracelet featuring a full kit of the glass punctuated by this new silver bead could be so much fun, though admittedly most of these glass I'd be wanting pairs of.

Over the past few years Armadillos have primarily appeared as special event stock so seeing them appear in the collection is going to be such good news for many people. That said although we're only four weeks away from the launch, it's going to feel a very long few weeks for fans of this iconic Trollbeads glass design.

Hey Angie.

He’s cute right! I think a few of those between the new glass would be lovely too.

Hi Janice,

At least they gave everyone advanced notice that they’re launching. I’m sure a lot of people will be wanting to save up for these.

Hi Caroline.

The pink is easiest to see towards the base of the bead but yes, it does seem as though it’s going to be pale. Then again shooting very soft colors on a blast white background is always a recipe for disaster. You’ll likely notice it far more in natural light

Hi Deb,

I suspect the colors were chosen for the spring season or perhaps based off shades that prove most popular for Trollbeads in terms of sales.

I’m lovin’ it – especially the silver! I wish we could see the Pale Rose Armadillo in person – I wonder if there will be a lot of variation in that coloring? Seems like a lot of light yellow/green but maybe those are Armadillo’s favorite colors? Too much fun!

Lovely, but I can’t see the "rose ", must be extremely pale!
What’s happened to “mothersday bead”?

Yippee!! Can’t wait to see more live images of the glass beads. Hope there are enough still around when I can afford to buy some of them!
